Utility Room
This utility room was designed to maximise the amount of storage available to the customer by incorporating a large sliding door unit. The doors use high quality runners with soft closing and feature a stylish aluminium profile edging. The chosen materials, high quality melamine decorative board with ABS edging and wood effect worktop will ensure that this high usage space stays looking great for many years to come.
Oak Slat Room Divider
A simple room divider using solid European Oak slats machined to size and finished with a high quality hard wearing lacquer. It creates a feeling of separate space but still keeps the room feeling light and spacious.
Shelving Unit with LED Lighting
A built in shelving unit, constructed in our Doncaster workshop, delivered and installed to a client in Forest Hill, South London. The unit incorporates Hafele LOOX LED lighting controlled by a touchless dimmer switch.
Traditional Style Storage
An eaves storge cupboard to make use ful storage in an awkward space. The doors are a traditional panel style, with and ogee moulding, and utilise wide opening hinges to allow easy access into a tight corner. The main section features a bi-fold door. Internals are a high quality decorative wood effect board, cut and edged in our workshop.
Office Refurbishment
An office revamp project. The built in desk is our own design to meet the clients needs and replacement doors were manufactured to fit the existing wall cabinets to match completely transforming the room.
Contemporary Fitted Wardrobe
A fitted wardrobe built in oak veneer with doors featuring oak finger pulls with soft close Blum hinges and drawers. Internally it is fitted with a mixture of standard hanging rails and drawers, as well as a secret door to access a loft space behind and LED lighting in the open shelves.
Case Study: Forest Hill Flat Renovation
An example of a larger project undertaken over a period of around 12 months, working alongside other trades was the renovation of a complete three bedroom flat in Forest Hill, South London. The project consisted of a number of large built in pieces, manufactured at our Doncaster workshop, delivered and installed to site, as well as any other second fix carpentry work required. Designed, manufactured and finished by us.
We will guide you through the entire process of creating your perfect piece of furniture from an initial design visit right through to the final installation. Using professional CAD software we will work with the client to fine tune the design to meet their exact specification, with highly realistic 3D renders reflecting details such as matched paint colours or board decors. The job will then go into production, our workshop is small, but well equipped with quality industrial machinery. Once the build stage is complete we move on to finishing, we use professional finishes designed specifically for use on furniture, whether that is hardwax oils or environmentally friendly paints and lacquers, all sprayed in house. Finally the project is ready for installation, our aim is to carry out as much of the work as possible in the workshop, minimising time spent on site, therefore reducing any inconvenience for the client, and allowing them to get on with enjoying their great new look interior as soon as possible!
About us
My name is James. I have always enjoyed making things and was ‘helping’ my joiner Grandad almost as soon as I was able to walk and have continued woodworking as either a hobby or profession ever since. Initially trained in engineering, completing a degree in Aerospace Technology with Management from the University of Hertfordshire. I later worked in the exhibition industry for 11 years before starting Auster Bespoke in October 2021.
I aim to combine that knowledge of engineering and manufacturing with a lifelong passion for woodworking. This results in a product made with care and attention to the little details which matter to the client, alongside accurate and efficient production to create your perfect product at a fair price.
