The majority of work in the New Year has revolved around three matching items of furniture for a hallway. Two free standing and one built in. The sideboard is located opposite the entrance to the kitchen and offers additional storage space. The colours of the unit was chosen to match with the kitchen which we installed shortly before Christmas. With such a long space the other units have been designed to match this and provide continuity, as well as the kitchen there are small details which are reflected elsewhere in the flat too. The free standing drawer unit fits it’s space perfectly, as you would expect from a bespoke unit, and is ideal for small items of outdoor clothing such as hats and gloves. Then located immediately next to the front door is a set of deep built in drawers for storage of shoes and other bulky items, this one isn’t quite finished and has temporary pine handles fitted as the brass ones to match the other units are a made to order item and are yet to arrive. The pull out drawer system makes a much more efficient use of what was previously a very deep cupboard.
